It is almost that time of the year when Santa will be sliding down chimneys, delivering presents. With all that work, Santa is going to get hungry! Here are some easy and delicious Christmas treats your kids can leave for Santa, and his reindeer of course!
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cookie Cups
17.5-ounce pouch peanut butter cookie mix
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon water
½ cup peanut butter chips
12-ounce bag Reese’s Miniature Peanut Butter Cups
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray. In a bowl, combine peanut butter cookie mix, vegetable oil, water egg, and peanut butter chips and mix until a soft dough is formed. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place one dough ball into each muffin cup. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the dough edges are a light golden-brown color. Press one Reese’s cup into each cookie and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
Place a sheet of wax paper onto a baking sheet. Using a double boiler, over a small amount of water, bring to a low simmer. Add in chopped dark chocolate and stir until chocolate has completely melted. Remove from heat and add in peppermint extract. Pour mixture onto prepared baking sheet and spread mixture evenly. Sprinkle crushed candy canes onto mixture and freeze for 10-15 minutes. Then, break the bark into pieces.
Magical Reindeer Snack
12-ounces white chocolate candy melts
1 ½ cup mini pretzels
¾ cup salted peanuts
¾ cup Rice Chex Cereal
¾ cup Corn Chex Cereal
1 cup plain M&M candies
Red sugar sprinkles
Green sugar sprinkles
In a microwave-safe dish, add white chocolate candy melts and microwave on HIGH for 2 ½ minutes, or until candy is completely melted. Next, add in mini pretzels, salted peanuts, Rice and Corn Chex Cereals, M&M candies and melted white chocolate. Toss to coat well. Spread mixture onto a sheet of wax paper, then sprinkle both the red and green sugar sprinkles on top. Allow to cool for 30 minutes.
I am pretty sure Santa LOVES all of these. Am I right?!
